28 Days of Black History

Project Info

Launched in February 2021, 28 Days of Black History is a newsletter delivered daily each day in the month of February (Black History Month in the U.S.)

Each year, the project brings to the life the theme of Black History Month set by The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), telling the story of one Black person a day whose life and legacy made a significant impact on Black culture.

With interactive elements, discussion guides and lesson plans, this annnual learning series helps individuals, organizations and educators connect more deeply and intimately with the brilliance of Blackness.

As an organization committed to amplifying the voices of those most marginalized, the series focuses on marginalized Black people – paying particular attention to trans and disabled Black leaders.
